DJ Mag, a leading authority in the electronic music scene, has spoken! David Guetta has been officially crowned Number 1 on the World’s Top 100 DJs poll for 2025 by DJ Mag. This marks the fifth time David Guetta has taken the top spot which ties him with Martin Garrix and Armin Van Buuren for the most wins in history.

David Guetta is one of the most famous DJs in the world and a key figure in shaping modern dance music. Starting out in the French club scene in the early 2000s, he became known for mixing house with catchy pop hooks. Songs like When Love Takes Over, Titanium with Sia, and Without You turned into global hits, taking EDM from festivals to radio playlists everywhere.

Over the years, he has worked with major artists like Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Usher, and Justin Bieber, won Grammy Awards, and sold millions of records. More than just hits, Guetta helped push dance music into the mainstream during the 2010s. In the new era, despite new names constantly on the rise, Guetta’s firm grip on the throne says a lot about his consistency, adaptability, and global appeal.

During his acceptance speech, he said

“It still means a lot to me because the greatest feeling in my life truly is playing new music for people and seeing their reactions.”

DJ Mag Top 100 list has always been a… cultural pulse check, if you will. It is an influential bestowment. It decides how the nightlife will be for the following year, the bookings for clubs and festivals, AND the public perception. Guetta’s win only goes to show how the industry rewards one who brings in decent music in a genre and how likely it is to be a worldwide thing.

It’s a sign that some classics never go out of style. The rankings may shift, debates shall continue, but one truth holds: what matters most is the music that makes us move, together.
